Grow With Us.
About the role
To create leverage across Yoco’s Go-to-Market engine by turning complex commercial questions into structured insights, scalable tools, and actionable direction.
This role partners closely with the Head of GTM Strategy & Ops to operationalise strategy, productise analytics, and surface where the next best growth opportunities lie — across acquisition, activation, and retention.
What you will be doing
1. GTM Intelligence & Insight Stewardship
Own and evolve GTM data & analytics, dashboards, and scripts that power decision-making (e.g. lead scoring, funnel diagnostics).
Ensure insight accuracy, clarity, and interpretability for GTM users — while partnering with the Data team, who owns underlying data integrity and definitions.
Proactively investigate anomalies or trends in performance and surface the “why” behind them, identify meaningful shifts, and translate them into commercial insight.
2. Commercial Opportunity Mapping & Insight Generation
Translate strategic questions (e.g. “where should we focus next?”) into structured, data-driven analysis and recommendations.
Interrogates merchant, product, and market data to identify specific, high-ROI growth opportunities, and translates those insights into clear recommendations to GTM leaders (Growth, PMM, Sales, etc.) on where to focus GTM effort (which segments, products, channels, or motions to potentially prioritise).
Prototype new analytical approaches or frameworks that help focus GTM effort where it matters most & prioritise growth bets.
3. Productisation & Tooling
Turn one-off analyses into repeatable, self-serve tools and dashboards where it makes commercial (time/benefit) sense to
Maintain and evolve prototypes & scripts (lead scoring, enrichment, segmentation), using AI or technical partners to optimise.
Collaborate with the Data team and Product Marketing to embed GTM insight into decision-making.
Own secondary GTM analysis tooling, on behalf of the GTM team, specifically Mixpanel, and Metabase dashboards.
4. Strategic Leverage & Enablement
Produce first-cut GTM performance summaries, insights, and board-ready material for refinement by the Head of GTM Strategy & Ops.
Support quarterly planning, funnel reviews, and initiative tracking with clean, decision-ready data.
Anticipate information gaps and close them before they become blockers, or without being explicitly asked.
About you
4–7 years’ experience in growth strategy or commercial analytics. Strategy / Management consulting experience a bonus.
Proven ability to bridge strategy and execution — data and business logic.
Hands-on with analytics but commercially fluent (Blend of analytical rigour and commercial intuition.)
Learns systems fast and thrives on autonomy.
Feels at home in ambiguity, curiosity-driven problem solving, and cross-functional work.
Core Capabilities
Commercially literate — interprets data through the lens of merchant behaviour and GTM and commercial performance.
Strong understanding of growth levers across GTM channels — knows how acquisition, conversion, activation, and retention mechanics differ by channel and product, and can identify which levers to pull (and why) to drive the highest commercial impact.
Deep analytical understanding — reads and connects data across systems instinctively (i.e. understands data relationships, joins, and quality issues instinctively.)
Fluent in SQL logic, spreadsheets, and analytics tools (e.g. Metabase, Mixpanel) for the purpose of interrogating, understanding, and troubleshooting data, and rapidly prototyping analyses — able to navigate and pressure-test existing data models and surface clear requirements for the Data team, without owning data modelling or organisation-wide BI productionisation (e.g. Looker).
Comfortable interpreting and prompting Python/AI-assisted scripts; can debug or adapt with support (i.e. knows which questions to ask / understands where things may have gone wrong, because of fundamental understanding of data)
High judgement, curiosity, and self-direction — knows what matters and when to ask.
Strong communicator — turns analysis into crisp, actionable narratives that influence decision-making.
Builder’s mindset — converts ad-hoc insights or self-prototyped tools / scripts into enduring systems or playbooks where applicable, and is able to brief other teams in the organisation in such a way so that they know what to build, to productionise prototypes.
Trajectory
This is a high-trust, high-leverage role. Over time, it can expand to own a portfolio such as GTM optimisation, merchant intelligence, or attachment analytics — shaping how Yoco’s GTM engine scales and learns.
The people we’re looking for

We start over, we constantly evolve - and we do it fast. We know that it’s just the right kind of meaningful madness for our kind of visionary human.
So, who are you? You’re someone who resonates with our mission and our values, and you’re relentlessly effective in your execution.
You’re a curious problem-solver with a passion for doing good. You’re bright, grounded, experimental and bold. You play open cards and get stuck in. You’re not afraid of change. You close the loop.
